Industry-University Collaborative Practice And On-site Internship For Students Of Wuhan Textile University At Hubei Jinlong

To boost the outcomes of talent cultivation through integrated industry and education programs, bridge the gap between theoretical learning and industrial practice, and effectively improve students' hands-on proficiency and engineering literacy, undergraduate students from the 2023 cohort of Wuhan Textile University completed a three-day dedicated production internship at Hubei Jinlong from July 7 to 9. Stepping out of classrooms and engaging in frontline manufacturing work, students honed their skills and built practical capabilities amid real industrial scenarios.

The company hosted a welcome session for teachers and students at the opening of the internship. Nie Fushan, Dean of Hubei Jinlong Flexible Composite Materials Research Institute, and Jiang Xin, Chief Administrative Officer, attended the session and extended a warm welcome to the visiting group. Corporate executives briefed attendees on the company overview and competitive edges in the industry, clarified internship arrangements, core assignments and disciplinary requirements. They encouraged students to ground their studies in practice, think diligently, apply textbook theories to physical operations, accumulate field experience and sharpen their expertise throughout the programme. Following the welcome meeting, the company delivered systematic production safety training for all interns. To resolve technical bottlenecks, operational questions and academic puzzles raised during workshop observation and process study, the internship group moved to Hubei Jinlong Flexible Composite Materials Research Institute. Drawing on abundant R&D experience and prevailing industrial technical standards, research staff provided one-on-one professional tutoring.
